Career as a Franchise Trainer

Author: Lance Winslow

Franchising companies live and die on their abilities to expand into the market place and promote their brand name. A Career as a Franchise Trainer can be a rewarding career and is perfect for someone who likes to work with people and consult them; help them in realizing their American Dream to own their own company.

There is a lot of CYA in franchising, document wars often erupt if there is a dispute down the road in the franchising relationship between the franchisee and the franchisor and a good trainer can nip this in the bud early on and prevent these things and thus it makes the franchisor trainer one of the most important positions in a franchise company.

There are classes available you can take to better yourself in this career venue and they are offered by the International Franchise Association and the Certified Franchise Executive CFE Programs. There is another very good seminar program offered in Houston by another company, which can assist franchise trainers in doing a better job.

There is a lot of upward mobility as a franchise trainer, as there is always a new method or program to be taught to existing franchisees and as the company expands so will the number of trainers. This means if you start out as a trainer you could become the Global Training Director or in charge of training for entire regions, countries or continents. Consider all this in 2006.
