How Do You Determine Your Current Fitness Level?

We are constantly being spoon-fed with new and improved information on how to maintain a healthy life style which would eventually lead us to have a fit body free from diseases. Now stop and think for a second, how do you determine your current wellness and fitness level? Would you visit your doctor regularly if you believe to be fit and well? Probably not. Nor does your doctor provide you with methods for determining the status on your own. Are ones wellness and fitness levels the same? They are not the same, yet they rely heavily on each other to keep you healthy.

Being fit and being well are totally different conditions. Your wellness level is dependent on your immune system. You can strengthen your immune system by providing your body with the right amounts of vitamins, supplements and nutrients. On the other hand having a fit body is mostly about exercising. Fit people can sometimes be unwell and well people can sometimes be unfit. However, when you combine the two and use sound principles based on a good hygiene, exercising and a healthy living you can attain a state of equilibrium where you are both fit and well.

We read and absorb the information we are given through the media and health organizations. But do we ever stop to consider the possibility that we are not being given all the information we need, and simply the part that is profitable to be seen or heard. For example, gyms need your monthly fees in order to remain operational. They have no real concern about the conditions of your immune system. Furthermore, hospitals and doctors also need you as patients, or were else are they going to get their money from? They want you to know that you need to be fit and well, but often leave out important pieces of information that affect your wellness, hence, your ability to be fit.

What does your daily intake play on our health, wellness and fitness? Well, let me just say that its more than what we have been lead to believe or understand. The body's ability to remain well is the direct result of our nutrition intake. Accordingly, the human brain doesn't develop well without the necessary input of protein in our daily diet.

Also being spiritual is a determining factor when establishing our fitness level. Spirituality is a way of getting away from life's troubles and cleansing ourselves from the stress of daily life. As a result we could enjoy the benefits of a stress free brain and moreover, a healthier lifestyle.
