Genesis is the book of the beginning. On the first day God created the heaven and the earth by the spoken word.Hebrews11:3 says by faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God. As God spoke at creation to a world of darkness, shapelessness and emptiness, so does He want to speak to every life that is filled with confusion and darkness. He wants to give you forgiveness, joy, hope, peace, purpose, direction and fulfillment. God has a beginning for you. He said, I will do a new thing On the second day, God created the firmament. The Hebrew word for firmament is Raskia. which is regarded as expressive of simple expansion. Scientist will want us to believe that today the atmosphere/earth weighs approximately5.7 quadrillion tons. But as at the time of creation, the atmosphere held much water than today-a horrible pressure upon the earth. There was no breathing space. Then God spoke, let there be firmament. and immediately, there was an expanse, there was an atmosphere, there was a space. The diameter of the earth was increased by approximately 120miles. So, the space was there in place of choking pressure. Consequently, the earth became habitable, the sun and moon found their place the stars found their orbit. Even all other elements and gases filled the space and everything began to work as a perfect system. What God did in the second day of creation is what He expects every man to do in creating space for his world-his destiny. You are to locate an orbit for your star. There a space for your marriage, but it is your responsibility to create that space. Until we deal with pressure of sickness, failure, satanic confinement, and evil habits, there can not be enough space for fulfillment. The following are the example of men and women in the Bible and contemporary life who by principle created space for their destiny: 1. You can create space for you destiny by passion for God and dutiful living. Like David and Phinehas. (Act 13:22; I Sam13:14; 16:1-2, 16; Num25:6-9). 2. You can create space for your destiny by vision, dreams and pursuit. Like Joseph-Gen37:5-8;37:9-11:20-2,24,27;39:1-6,7-8,20;41:37-41;43:26-28. 3. You can create space for your destiny by making timely choice. Like moses.Heb11:24-27, Ex3:1-10, like the Prodigal son Lk15:14-24. 4. You can create space for you destiny by recognizing and utilizing opportunity like Rahab the harlot.Joshua2:8-15, 6:17, Heb.11:31-32, Mat.1:5. 5. You can create space for you destiny by dogged commitment like Ruth.Ruth1:11-14, 15-18; Mat1:5. 6. No one will create the space for you. It is your sole responsibility to do this by every positive... |
